What is a Customs Clearance?
If you have bought or sold goods outside the European Union, you will need to make a custom clearance. Customs clearance is a procedure that must be carried out before the customs authorities for your goods to enter or leave the country. The customs clearance process is necessary for the Administration to inspect and approve your foreign sales and purchase business activity. The Customs and Excise Department of the Tax Agency will need you to provide a series of documents that identify the importer, the exporter, and the item. This customs process allows the Tax Agency to perform a series of customs checks on the goods, as well as safety, health, and quality checks.
